OUR BRAND

In 1899 Franz Viegener created a company in Atterdon, Germany, manufacturing beer taps forged from brass, for their domestic market. Continuing the family business, in 1921 his son founded a new company called FV in Buenos Aires, Argentina, manufacturing brass faucetry. In 1992 the company starts in the United States, and in 2008 we launched Franz Viegener Premium Collection.

Franz Viegener products are the results of years of design improvement. We create unique faucets, whether they are traditional, transitional, or contemporary. In 1992 the company starts in the United States, and in 2008 Franz Viegener premium collection was released.

GOOD DESIGN

For seven decades, The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd. has presented the annual GOOD DESIGN® Awards program for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic designs produced around the world. Since its inception, The Chicago Athenaeum continues the organization of the program to create a revived awareness about contemporary design and to honor both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace. Franz Viegener has won the award three years consecutively in the “Bath and Accessories” category. Over the years, these products have won this coveted award: Edge Cross (2010-2011), Skyline (2012-2013), Shoreline (2014), 7 Square (2016), Buzz (2017-2018) and Konic (2018-2019).

NYC X DESIGN

The NYCxDESIGN Awards, presented by Interior Design and sponsored by ICFF, honor outstanding projects and products in categories that span major areas of design. Franz Viegener’s Kitchen Collection was honored with this award in 2020.

DWELL

Dwell on Design LA, curated by the editors of Dwell Magazine, is America’s largest design event. Franz Viegener has been honored twice with the Dwell Award for Best in Show in the Bath category in 2013 and 2015.

ICFF BEST IN SHOW

The ICFF Awards honor excellence in new products exhibited at ICFF each year. Presented by Contract, the official magazine of ICFF, these awards recognize the contribution to the contemporary design world through product design and innovation across 11 product categories.

IFDA SELECTS

HOSPITALITY DESIGN’S HD AWARD

Franz Viegener is proud that its Nerea Single Hole Faucet was named a finalist in Hospitality Design magazine’s 15th annual HD Awards, which honors the best new achievements in the hospitality design industry. Nearly 330 international products were submitted across 12 categories, with less than 40 making it to the finalist stage.
