1899
Franz Viegener created a
company in Attendorn, Germany
In 1899 Franz Viegener Created a company in Attendorn, Germany, manufacturing beer taps forged from brass for their domestic market. Continuing the family business in 1921, Viegener’s son founded a new company called FV in Buenos Aires, Argentina, manufacturing brass faucetry. In 1992 the company began selling into the United States and in 2008 they launched a luxury brand of faucets called the Franz Viegener Collection.

Growing and expanding in the last 90 years
FV became one of South America’s largest faucet companies. With over 5,000 employees in Argentina as well as Ecuador, the company now sells over half a billion dollars in brass goods.


1935
LEADERSHIP IN THE FAUCET MARKET BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE
THE FRANZ VIEGENER COLLECTION
Continuing to expand, the company creates a new segment to their offering called the FRANZ VIEGENER Collection. The new faucets are a high-end, luxury, handcrafted collection that exceeds the standards of excellence for designers and architects worldwide.
1973
A NEW 60,000 SQF INDUSTRIAL PLANT IS BUILT
Unique and exceptional product
To accomplish this goal, the company needed to rethink the process of how they design and build their products. They chose a small group of their finest engineers and designers who developed this unique and exceptional product collection.


1992
THE COMPANY ENTERS THE UNITED STATES MARKET
BEGINS DISTRIBUTION
Distribution of the first curated Franz Viegener Collection of products begins in earnest in North America.
2008-Today
RELEASE OF ADDITIONAL FRANZ VIEGENER COLLECTIONS
The company continues to innovate, design, and create collections for an audience of loyal architects and designers who have come to expect the best from Franz Viegener.
